Hong Kong One Dollar Note

Note No. 118
This is the first paper note ever issued by the Hong Kong Government. This one dollar note which bearing the portrait of King George V and also the signature of Edwin Taylor, he was the Financial Secretary of Hong Kong from 1931 to 1937. This note was issued in order to replace the silver dollars. Its issues were undated prior to 1949 and discontinued until 1960, when the cupro-nickel one dollar coins were issued. This note was printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co., Ltd.
